August 27th,
Make sure you are signed up for the Medal Play Club Championship on Sept 11th & 12th. It is worth double skins points and it's the last chance to qualify for the northwests premier skins competition, our top four gross and net skins points leaders duke it out on Sept. 25th.
I was up watching some friends play in the Boeing Classic Pro-Am Thursday. I saw what seemed to be a fimiliar face, maybe you can help me figure out who.

Is this Bobby Gue or Bobby Clampett?

A bird of prey watches over the hole on #12, hey we birdied it!
August 18th
The results are in for the Member/Member/Member/Guest ( we need to come up with a new name for this thing). I getting really tired of never being able to talk about me, so after a few paragraphs about moi, I will get to the results. O.K. enough about me.
Bob Gue continues his cash streak with his partner Ed Jonson, they shot a gross round of 63 to take the top honors by a shot over Scott Miller and his partner, both figurative and literal, Sharon McCarty.
Sharon and Scott took the top prize for 1st division net. Nice to see Mark Suffia get some coinage, his playing partner Dave Thornquist must have played one heck of a round.
Great turnout and a fun round. I enjoyed watching my partner drive the 10th green. Kaboom!!
I believe the Pro's shot a 61, Hello to all my fellow losers!
I lost a red Titleist #1 between the 17th and 18th fairways, would the group playing behind us please check their pockets. If you needed a ball that bad, I would have been happy to give you one. Thanks for picking it up, but I would like my ball back.
The Skins finals has one more qualifying tournament left, the Medal Play Club Championship. The MPCC is worth double skins points, so a lot of ground can be made up. If you are in the top four, either on the gross or net side, let the tournament commitee know if you can not make the skins finals on September 25th, we would like to let an alternate know that they are in. Anuj Bahl still leads the way for the gross finals, followed by David Lee, Mike Colagrossi and John Park, Brian P.Catlin trails fourth by a single point. Tony Ferrelli, Matt Welch, Doug Johnson and Randy Shaw are the top four on the net side. Darrin Fossum is only 7 points back.
The gross skins division plays straight up golf, while the net side gets strokes where they fall based off the lowest handicap in the group.
Pic's are posted and I must say I look damn good in yellow.
August 12th
The tee times are posted for the Member/Member/Member/Guest.
Here is some info from the tournament commitee:
Thanks to everyone that signed up. The field currently has 44 teams with one remaining spot available (call pro shop to sign up - tell them the 9:23 tee time).
Here are the final tee times. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE TIMES AS SOME OF THE LATER TIMES WERE MOVED UP. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BE AT THE COURSE BY YOUR STARTING TIME. Please advise your guest or partner that may not be part of this email distribution. Looking forward to seeing everyone out there for some fun in the sun!!
We will have the following optional side games: Gross Skins by division $10 per team Optional KP on hole 3 $10 per team
The putting contest will be a scramble format, just as the tournament itself. Stop by after your round and meal to set the low score ($4.00 per team, one entry max)!
August 9th
Dale has sent me the results for the Senior Scramble. Somebody has to step up and take down that dasterdly duo of Nash and Riggins
July 17th
Hey you seniors, your results are posted from the Senior Summer Field Day. Ron Decker shot a very nice 73 to take the top prize
July 13th
The strongest field of the year showed up for the Summer Field Day this past Saturday. The top five gross players in the first division shot a combined 1-under par total, compared with last years 12 over for the 4 top finishers. ( is everbody getting golf lessons but me!)
Keith Putz had a 2-under 69 to lead the way. It was Keith's second BMGC win in a row. Gary Reilly took the 1st division net title with a 65. Tony Ferrelli won the 3rd division gross crown, shooting a 78, great round Tony. Bob Turner won low net in the 3rd group with a 63. The second division low gross champion is Rowland Tegio (77) winning by a shot over Roger Young, welcome back Roger.
A special round was turned in by Jim Etheridge, Jim not only won low net in the second division with a 64, Jim won the optional KP with a tee shot to under six feet, and, wait for it! HE SHOT 2-UNDER HIS AGE! 2-UNDER HIS AGE! With a great round of 77, Jim bettered his age by two shots, WAY TO GO JIM!!!! (Hey, I shot Jim's age!) I hope Jim bought some lottery tickets on his way home. Kidding aside, if your are ever on the putting green at the Muni, chances are Jim is there. No one works harder at his game and Jim deserves some reward for his work.
Anuj Bahl takes a big lead in the skins standings, thanks to his consistant top finishes in our tournaments and his victory in the Match Play, Anuj has a 151 point lead. There is only 83 points separating
Keith Putz in 2nd and Dragan Jagnjic in 13th. Tony Ferrelli leads a tight race for the top 4 on the net side. There are 2 tournaments left to decide who qualifies for the September 25th finals. The Member/Member/Member/Guest (Aug 14th ) and the Medal Play Club Championship (Sept 11th & 12th ). The 2-day medal play championship has double skins points being awarded.
Again, if you find a Titleist red #6 in your condo to the right on hole #13, I would like it back.
Pictures and Stats are now posted through the SFD.

Rick Skattum rolls in a putt for a duece on #6 during the Summer Field Day

The King has been crowned. Anuj Bahl wins the Gross Match play division with a 3 & 2 victory over Mike Colagrossi. A few hundred crispies and a 100 bonus skins points to Anuj, way to go!

Anuj Bahl takes on Mike Colagrossi in the Gross Division final.
Lots of spots still open for the Summer Field Day on June 10th. I was at the Muni today getting my putting butt kicked by El Presidente and the greens were rolling great.
Thurday is our quarterly meeting at 7:00 PM followed by a putting contest (Catlin is the early 9-2 betting line favorite).

Congrats to Rod Russell and Doug Johnson our two Net Division Match Play finalists. May the best man win!
The 2-3-4 results are in.
What an interesting format. Dragan Jagnjic, Anuj Bahl, Keith Putz and some guy named Mark took low gross in the 1st division.
shooting a 1-under ? 212. Finishing 2nd was Dan Kramlich, Jim Sisko, Kris "Muni Rat" Stromberg and the teams "A" Player, Chris Tucker.
Did anybody else have trouble with all the math, I still have a headache.
Rod Russell, along with Matt Becker, Dave McDonald and Steve Lesser, continued his winning ways, leading his team to a first place finish in the 2nd division.
If Oklahoma keeps getting beat in the CWS, I will post photo's tonight. Rain delay, photo's are up, enjoy.
I know Sisko was really proud of his "Palmer esq" finish on one swing in a photo I took.
June 18th
Because of some confusion from people signing up, I have not posted the tee times for the 2-3-4 tournament yet. There are groups that have 2 tee times and individuals playing in more than one group. Check with the Pro shop to confirm your tee time.
Rod Russell defeated Randy Shaw to move into the finals. Rod awaits the winner of the Bob Gue/Doug Johnson match.
June 10th
Our first Match Play finalist has been established. Anuj Bahl defeated Doug Fraser to move on to the championship match.
Still awaiting results from the top half of the gross play bracket.
June 7th
The quarterfinals are set for the Net Match play championship. Bob Gue Vs. Doug Johnson, Rod Russell Vs. Randy Shaw.
No word yet on the Fualkner/Choi match on the gross side, come on fellas, get the match in.
Rat on Rules:
7-2.
During Round. A player must not make a practice stroke during play of a hole. Between the play of two holes, a player must not make a practice stroke, except that he may practice putting or chipping on or near: (a) the putting green of the hole last played, (b) any practice putting green, or (c) the teeing ground of the next hole to be played in the round, provided a practice stroke is not made from a hazard and does not unduly delay play (Rule 6-7). Strokes made in continuing the play of a hole, the result of which has been decided, are not practice strokes.
Sisko, ya owe me a beer!
Thanks,
Cap't Muni Rat
